Synths and Wobs II

So I’m still getting into the learning curve on this but I think it’s acceptable to have a post that has the spectrum from house to dubstep tracks. I figure depending on what I’ve heard or am digging at the time will determine where on the spectrum I put most of them. So welcome back to your weekly lump post of synths and wobs. Friday is tomorrow(!).

First up is yet another Mike Posner remix. Yes I know there are a lot of those. I’m digging the synths on this one though. It’s a very David Aude style of remix. Johnny Lawson really pulls this into a pretty electronic symphony here. Really digging it. Saw it first on the Music Ninja. Check it out.

Next up, some electro house from Earmilk. This track is something I would totally rave to, which pretty much sums up the song title. This is a very pretty track, none of the rage (as Brenton Duvall calls it) that Skrillex throws down. If heavy dubstep tracks can be filthy, this track is smooth and clean. Very simple. Very danceable.

Ravers Fantasy (Puma Scorz Remix Edit) – Manian / Or from Mediafire

Another track off an Earmilk compilation, they do good house / electro / dubstep / filthstep / etc posts. This one is a little dirtier than the last track but I think it transitions nicely. It begins very clean with some fun symphony and piano (and/or harp) (and harpsichord) bits and then gets a bunch of rage then back to harp then more awesomeness. This song is just plain fun.

Devils In Milan (Liberty Redux) – Drivepilot / Or from Mediafire

And now that we’ve had some rage, it’s time for the requisite Skrillex track. This remix completely reshapes the song. Blastaguyz keeps the rage though, and it is quite fun. Check it out and enjoy the rage.

Now we’re moving into the realm of dubstep. But I don’t want us to forget the club dance scene while we’re moving. So without (much) further ado, I give you a dubstep remix of “Sandstorm” by Vaski (via the Burning Gear).

This one I found on the same site. And it is unbelievably pleasurable. I’ve said how much I like it when indie rock meets other genres and this is no exception. Adventure Club gives Brand New a loving dubstep remix that works perfectly. Just stellar. Give it a try.

For my final track I thought I’d put up some dubstep that hails to its reggae roots. People forget that a lot, that dubstep is rooted in reggae. I mean they are very dissimilar at first look, especially when it comes to dubstep remixes of popular songs. Earmilk has been mentioning that the past few weeks in celebration of reggae. Hope you enjoyed this eclectic post. Do you think it works as is, or should I separate my dubstep and electro posts?

Police In Helicopter – Numa Crew / Or from Mediafire

And a bonus track: I try never to post songs that are up for purchase on iTunes or Amazon or the like and this track is one such song. It’s fricking awesome and if you haven’t heard it yet you really should, so here’s a stream only link put up by Bare Noize themselves. I highly recommend buying it.
